Row label menu

Right-click a row label to open this menu. (Right-clicking a value cell opens Power BI's own menu instead - Drill through, Show as a table and so on.)

EntryWhat it does
Hide RowHides the row and everything below it. The data and the totals above it are not touched - only the display. Inside a selection of several rows it hides all of them (rows below another hidden row are not listed separately).
Show RowOnly while something is hidden. All, or one entry for each hidden row, named by its path through the hierarchy ("Europe › Germany").
ExpandSee below.
CopyWith Header - the column headers above the rows, with the row label first. Without Header - the rows only. Inside a selection of several rows it copies all of them, in table order.

Expand

SectionEntryResult
Selected RowExpand RowOpens the row one step, like its + icon. Never closes a row. Greyed out if the row cannot be opened.
To LevelThe row and what is below it, down to Level N (only the levels below the row are listed). What is deeper inside the row is closed, as a Layer Toggle does for the whole table.
All RowsExpand LayerThe layer of the row you clicked, for every row: like the Layer Toggle that shows the level below it. Rows above stay open, deeper rows close.
To LevelThe whole table down to Level 1 ... Level N; the current level is marked.

Under On-Demand Loading the entries fetch what they need, one row at a time for Selected Row, and the table fills in as the data arrives. The rows you opened are saved with the report.

Selection and the menu

While the menu is open, the rows it works on are outlined with a dashed line. A right-click on a row outside the selection acts on that row alone. Hide Row and Copy use the whole selection; the Expand entries use the row you right-clicked.

Hidden rows can also be shown from the eye in the floating strip (Filtered Content Hint).
